Fortunately enough, I've been following most of the preliminary steps you describe naturally (reading, pointing out the name of words, making up stories), but I needed a post as concise and clear as this in order not to get lost in the theory jungle.
Thanks so much!Crishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13117773220379526638noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3098338823917042757.post-78735809356878800492011-10-20T21:21:34.635-04:002011-10-20T21:21:34.635-04:00Glad this post is useful, Julie. You might want to add a note in reference ...M2P...

You might want to add a note in reference to the phonogram folders that those who download and try to use them need to double check regional pronunciation as they make them. For example, I should not have an "ar" folder as "a" never makes the "ar" sound here. Some people will need "or" added to their "au" folder. Others will want to assess if there are other places they need to include "ough."

http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_words_spelt_oughMy Boys' Teacherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16814627526655717162noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3098338823917042757.post-88294698491204804852011-10-09T21:04:43.209-04:002011-10-09T21:04:43.209-04:00Hi smith, thanks for stopping by and leaving a com...Hi smith, thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment! I wish I could help you with a download for the phonogram dictionary but I haven't come across any. If Barbara had not sent me one, my plan was to get one of those tiny address books and paste over the alphabets with tiny stickers of the phonograms. Hope it gives you some idea!Mommy to the Princesseshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06480936030636884293noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3098338823917042757.post-41119671501367697102011-10-08T22:40:35.862-04:002011-10-08T22:40:35.862-04:00I am such a believer in the Dwyer method and it...I am such a believer in the Dwyer method and it's nice to see how you so succintly sum it up.
